Naturally grown Kachin 5-nuts (Pacific Walnut), known locally as Nga-pauk-thee (botanical name: dracontomelon dao) are a treat from the Kachin mountains.
Light in taste & rich in oil, they can be used as a pinenut substitute for making pesto or simply as a healthy snack.
We are a Kachin social enterprise developing local food products. Our goal is to change the Kachin economy from being based on natural resource extraction to sustainable local product creation. We work with growers and community members to buy walnuts and create high quality, delicious, and nutritional products.
