What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a lightly carbonated fermented tea brewed by a colony of microbes called
SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeasts). It contains various types of acetic acid
and bacteria such as Acetobacter Xylinum and Saccharomyces which provide us with amino
acids, polyphenols, vitamin B&C. All essential elements for anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation,
digestion, and reduction of cholestrol.
It is customary to make Kombucha from sweetned tea, but at Poe Ferments, we brew for
vibrant flavor profile, effervescence and innovation in our HACCP compliant test kitchen.
