Ciao's Spaghetti all chitarra comes in 300g per portion (2-3 servings), please choose 2 portions if you'd like to have 600g (and so on).

Spaghetti alla chitarra is a variety of egg pasta typical of Abruzzo, Italy. The name of this spaghetti comes from the tool (the so-called chitarra, literally "guitar") this pasta is produced with, a tool which gives spaghetti its name, shape and a porous texture thatallows pasta sauce to adhere well. The chitarra is a frame with a series of parallel wires crossing it.
The tool named chitarra was invented around 1890 in the province of Chieti. Before then, pasta was cut with a special rolling pin with notches to obtain its particular shape. Chitarra typically is served with an Abruzzese-style ragu: a sauce flavored with pieces of meat that are used as flavoring.
To cook, bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil over high heat, then salt the water generously.
Drop in the chitarra nests and return the water to a boil. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until al dente.
Drain in a colander set in the sink.
