How to get your vegetables delivered during a pandemic?
We are here for you. We know the situation is changing daily and everyone is on an emotional roller coaster, but please don't panic for vegetable deliveries in April. We are flexible and will help as much as we are able.
There are two ways to order our vegetables during the next month-
1. Flexible weekly shares. Complete this Google form link (https://forms.gle/6w5y3NzXSBMtdUxK8) to place an order for a veggie box for one week. Order by Friday 10am for delivery on Monday or Wednesday depending on your township.
2. Yangon Farmers Market Online. Some of our products are listed on www.yangonfarmersmarket.com new online shop. Order by Wednesday evening for delivery on Saturday.
We have also set up a new Facebook group called "Yangon's Long Table" (search on FB). While we may all be staying home and distancing ourselves from people it doesn't mean that we can't still connect and come together over food. This Facebook group is to share what is on your table, recipe ideas and resources.
Please continue to support local farmers and local business! We are going above and beyond to keep you fed and healthy during this time.
Our friends at OrganicValley
and Fresco are also working very hard these days delivering safe vegetables to your door and have many varieties we do not offer.
Please share to friends who are also staying in Yangon and in need of some veggies and sweet community love.
Kokkoya Organics is a social enterprise that focuses on training youth in organic farming while growing fresh vegetables for a community. Based on an urban farm in Yangon, our farms grow a variety of safe, organic vegetables which are sold through a Community Supported Agriculture system.
We believe farms that positively impact their surroundings are good for the planet, good for the farmers and good for us! Read more about it here.
