ဒါကြောင့်ကျွန်မတို့အမျိုးသ
For (us) women there are always less opportunities compared to men. For example: in the field of agriculture there's no equality, men always get better pay than women. Why is it so? Just because it's a Myanmar tradition.
Here at Kokkoya men and women get equal chances, women even get priority.
We women do have the abilities but most of the time they are hidden behind fear, shyness and the lack of confidence.
We are seeing more gender equality now in the 21st Century. There are more and more women leaders in different professional fields. They are all examples that we as girls can learn from. Depending on the regions and traditions there are also more chances and opportunities opening up for women though it's not for everyone yet.
That's why as women we should not fear to show the world our abilities and our goals. And walk towards the future with pure hearts, strong mindsets and courage.

International Womens Day is celebrated on March 8 every year.
This is a day to celebrate, respect, love and acknowledge the women around the world. This is a day to talk about the difficulties and challenges women are facing. This is a day to ask for more gender equality.
To become more aware of the abilities and stories of women in our community and to acknowledge all their successes.
In this modern world, gender equality, politics, business-social-income and opportunities in the working environment are still so different between genders. Fairness between men and women still has a long way to go.
Kokoya Organics Farm founded especially for women by women. This farm is showing that women can do farming business where some people believe that farming can only done by the men. Here they even provide the same salary for both men and women in the team.
This farm is not only for the success of the business but also for the employees by providing events, trainings and classes for their future.
Women should get the same opportunities as Men.

SMART=အချို့သော အမျိုးသမီးများသည် အရေးကြီးသောအလုပ်ငန်း အခန်းကဏ္ဌများ၌ အမျိုးသားများထက် တိကျသေချာသော အဖြေများ ကိုဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ချနိုင်သည်။
ကုက္ကိုလ်ယာ လုပ်ငန်း၏ အကျိုးအမြတ်သည် ငွေကြေးသည် ဝန်ထမ်းများ၏ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှု အတွက်ပြန်လည်အသုံးပြုထားသည်
Traditionally in Myanmar there's no gender equality. Even if women contribute more efforts, men are usually seem as more able in the fields of agriculture.
EQUAL = there should be equality between women and men. Women's abilities are not less than men.
SMART = some women are more precise and careful at making decisions than men in important matters.
The beauty and harmony of a family largely depends on a woman.
Most respected and successful men in society usually are brought up by a smart mother with good virtues. It is important for us to remember that many women has sacrificed their time and lives to their families day in and day out.
INNOVATIVE= many women are sensitive and gentle at heart. Also because of this quality they are innovators and creators of different accessories.
Agriculture in a way is a very gentle form of art in nature. And that's way women can also bring innovations in agriculture.
In Myanmar it is obvious that women gets way less opportunities than men. It is as if people fear that Myanmar culture will disappear once equality is achieved between men and women.
Kokkoya Organics is an organic farm established by young women. Kokkoya aims to train women to be independent and able to run own businesses in the future; slowly but steadily influence people's lifestyle and dietary choices for the better with organic farming and finds market for quality farm products for the farmers.
As a staff at Kokkoya we also have the chances to attend English classes, accounting class, computer classes and chances to attend many exciting cultural events in Yangon.
In Kokkoya, women enjoys equal, sometimes even more, benefits as our male colleagues. We reinvest the profits back into the developments of the staff.
March 8 is a day when every woman should feel proud of being one. It's a day to recognise and celebrate the many achievements and strengths of women.
Women have a lot of abilities and potential only because of outside pressures that they have gone unnoticed. That's why we as women should not be afraid to express ourselves and what we can do, and strive for our better future with courage.
